Strip

A strategy that combines the simultaneous purchase or sale of a certain number of generally at-the-money call options and twice as many put options on the same underlying and with the same exercise price and expiration date.

The strip is a modified version of the straddle. The trader in a long position expects an increase in the volatility of the price of the underlying, but has a higher expectation of a decrease than an increase.
